PANAJI: Revolutionary Goans condemned the BJP led government for failing to verify documents of job applicants received for the post of multi-tasking staff.
Few days after Chief Minister Pramod Sawant made an announcement of 10,000 job vacancies it came to light that a non-Goan, Laxman Golvankar was given a government job with fake address proof. After this went viral online, he was immediately issued a termination letter.
Revolutionary Goans had warned that they will keep a strict watch on all recruitments being carried out in the state.
“Yesterday we received a WhatsApp message that a boy was appointed for the post of multi-tasking staff. After which he sent an acceptance letter to the Director of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. In his joining letter his address was mentioned as Marcela and he has used the letter head of the same department. While his driving license and Aadhar card address states he is from Vengurla, Sindhudurg,” Revolutionary Goans Chief, Manoj Parab questioned the basis of his appointment.
It also came to light that Laxman has submitted his joining report using the departments official letter head which needs to be thoroughly investigated.
Revolutionary Goans also highlighted that Vishwajeet Rane is known to give order letters when elections are approaching.
“He gives assurances to the applicant that he will make them permanent. In this case an outsider was given a government job in Goa. After it became viral on social media, the person was sent a letter that he was terminated due to wrong address. This is the main reason why RG has been emphasising that Person of Goan Origin (POGO) only be given government jobs,” said Manoj.
“Parents are waiting for their children to get jobs. Ministers are doing all these manipulations and giving jobs to outsiders and not Goans. This job was actually for a person from Marcela. We doubt Govind Gaude must have given reference. We do not think this boy has got this job on the basis of merit. His address and documents were also not verified, ” he added.
Revolutionary Goans went on to highlight that people of Goa have to go through so much of verification process for anything. Henceforth, they will file an RTI and check all the government jobs given, how many applications were received and number of those interviewed.
“We opine that these jobs are ours and only Goans should be given these jobs. We welcome the announcement of 10,000 jobs made by CM but these jobs should be given to Goans only,” signed off Manoj.
